People are at the heart of everything we do at the University of Alberta. Our talented faculty and staff are the foundation of our past achievements and future ambitions, which is why every perspective is vital in shaping administrative and support services.
On Nov. 2, 2026, you received an email regarding the UniForum Service Effectiveness Survey from Nous Data Insights. It was sent on our behalf, inviting you to share your perspectives on the effectiveness of the university’s services.
Why your feedback matters
The UniForum survey measures end-to-end satisfaction with administrative and support services across the university — including Finance, HR, IT, Research Administration and Facilities Management.
While the survey provides rich data and insights that we consider in our decision-making, its most direct impact is on your daily experience. By highlighting what is working and where administrative roadblocks may exist, your feedback helps directly shape the tools, workflows and services you rely on every day.
More than just collecting data, we are using these results to actively fund, design and implement service improvements across all faculties and portfolios, alongside key transformation efforts such as Better by U, led by the Office of Strategic Transformation and Delivery (OSTAD).
As an international program involving more than 70 universities across Canada, Australia, the U.K., New Zealand, Mexico and Ireland, UniForum also allows us to benchmark our performance globally and foster a long-term culture of continuous improvement.
What you need to know about the survey
- Unique link: Do not share or forward your invitation. The link is unique to prevent duplicate submissions and to stop reminders once you’ve completed the survey. The link is never connected to your actual answers.
- Privacy: Responses are strictly confidential and anonymous. Data will only be shared with the university by Nous Data Insights in a de-identified form.
- Format and timing: The survey is in two parts; it will take about 15 minutes per part (30 minutes total) to complete.
- Flexibility: The survey can be completed at once or in smaller segments over the survey period. If you pause, you can resume from where you left off using your unique link.
- Deadline: The survey closes on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 11:59 p.m.
