Alumni weekend is an opportunity for alumni, young and old, to reconnect with their past and to get a glimpse of the many things to come from the Faculty of Engineering. We wouldn’t be where we are today without our many alumni and friends and we are excited to give you a peek into how we have grown and what the future holds for us!

Engineering Alumni Weekend 2018 Garage

Premiere of the Engineering Garage & Alumni Reunion

Come see where the dreamers and influencers of tomorrow will build the future.

The Faculty of Engineering will be debuting their brand new 6000 sq ft Engineering Garage, a makerspace for students to bring their projects to life. The premiere will showcase some of the exciting tools and technology students will have access to while offering you a fun social evening of food, drinks, and entertainment.

Select graduating classes from 1948, 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988 will be hosting class reunions at the premier so be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to reconnect with your classmates.

Cost:
$10.00 (all proceeds go to the ENG Fund in support of student initiatives)
Other: includes one pre-paid drink (341 ml bottle of beer or 8 oz. wine), cash bar and light complimentary refreshments provided, casual dress

Class of 1958 Engineering Alumni Luncheon

Engineering grads from 1958 and their guests are invited to a sit-down luncheon at the Faculty Club. Attendees will be seated with their discipline and have the opportunity to hear from the current Dean of Engineering and one of our talented students or faculty members.

Engineering Alumni Weekend 2018 Carnival

Family Fun at the Engineering Carnival

All alumni and their families are invited to our first-ever Engineering Carnival, a fun-filled day of games, tours, entertainment, and delicious snacks. Experience interactive displays and learn about groundbreaking research, or visit our new Engineering Garage makerspace and design labs. We will have amazing student projects on display and DiscoverE team members will be on hand to help young engineers (up to 12 years of age) explore science and technology with hands-on activities.

Faculty of Engineering Wellness Zone

Physical and mental health matter to us and we are excited to showcase some of the amazing new wellness initiatives we offer our students and staff.  Come see what our Engineering Wellness Program is all about and experience first-hand how we take self-care to another level: get active with the Wii, play a quick game of ping pong or life-size Jenga, or catch the incredible view from the Fred Pheasey Commons with a hot cup of coffee or tea.

Educated Engineer: Faculty Tours

Get a peek at what’s new and what we have coming around the corner on a guided tour of the faculty. This 45 minute (approximate) walking tour will give you a behind the scene glimpse at our new Engineering Garage, design labs, new buildings, labs, and more.

Don’t forget to take a stroll through Memory Lane, featuring photos, memorabilia, yearbooks, and more, to recount the vibrant history of our faculty and our students.
