Video Conferencing

At this time, all video conferences are cancelled until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us at discovere@ualberta.ca.

DiscoverE's exciting, engaging and high-impact classroom workshops are also available through video conferencing! These workshops utilize interactive whiteboard technology and video conferencing equipment.

Our video conferencing workshops are 75 mins long and provide an excellent unit introduction or review to the Alberta Education curriculum. The first half of the workshop is dedicated to exciting demonstrations and discussions, while in the second half of the workshop each student will have the opportunity to complete a hands-on project. Please note that the full 75 mins is required for our instructors to complete our workshops successfully.

In order to maintain the hands-on nature of our classroom workshops, we will mail most of the supplies required for the hands-on project and for the teacher to duplicate the demonstrations in the classroom. A few additional supplies will be required but each teacher will be contacted with that list 2-3 weeks prior to the workshop.

Videoconferencing Workshops can be booked from September through June!

Technical Requirements

We can accommodate classes up to 32 students. Classes require both a SMART board connected to the Bridgit server and a television/projector to view the instructors. Parent volunteers are not required. Please allow ten minutes before and after the workshop for clean-up and set-up.
