Nikolay Blinov

About Me

Dr. Blinov is a Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. His expertise is in biological and chemical physics, computational biology, solid state and condensed matter physics, scientific programming, methodology and software development for molecular and nano-scale simulations.

His current research interests are in the areas of statistical mechanics of molecular liquids, scientific software development, studying molecular pathways of neurodegeneration, and development of therapeutic agents for targeting neurodegenerative diseases.

Previously, he taught a wide range of graduate and undergraduate academic courses, supervised postdoctoral fellows and graduate/undergraduate students, and contributed to multiple collaborative projects in academia and industry.
