Research by Department

The Faculty of Engineering is comprised of five departments, each pursuing a broad range of research and innovation programs. Although each department is anchored by one or more traditional engineering disciplines, their research interests are highly interdisciplinary.

Researchers whose interests fall within the four research specializations (Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering; Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment; Information and Communications Technologies; and Nanotechnology and Interfacial Engineering), can be found in each department.

When looking for a supervisor, collaborator or topic expert, you may need to consider researchers in multiple departments.
