International Short Course on Landform Design for Sustainable Mining
The University of Alberta Geotechnical Centre is pleased to host the International Short Course on Landform Design for Sustainable Mining in Edmonton, Alberta, December 5-10, 2019. This comprehensive 40-hour course covers the landform design and construction process, mining materials, setting design goals /objectives / criteria, and multidisciplinary design methods to realize these commitments reliably and economically. Working in landform design teams, participants will also complete a landform design for a real mining landform by solving real, interdisciplinary, mining issues and challenges drawing upon the examples and methods taught in the course.
