The NSERC Industrial Research Chair (IRC) program fosters leading-edge and groundbreaking research within Canadian universities. IRCs are awarded to professors considered to be at the forefront of research and innovation in their respective fields.
The NSERC Industrial Research Chair in the Industrialization of Building Construction was awarded to Dr. Mohamed Al-Hussein in 2011. The principal focus of the chair is to industrialize the construction process through collaborative research between the university research team and a consortium of industry partners.
