Production Line Assessment and Improvement of All Weather Windows Door-Line

Summary: Lean production is a methodological approach for assembly line production that aims to eliminate waste, minimize inventory, and maximize production flow. A lean production system is built based on the pull system technique, which accommodates the variability of customer demand. The scope of this project was to develop necessary actions to increase the productivity of single door production line in “All Whether Windows” (AWW) company and, if necessary, rebuilding or reconstruct a more efficient stations within this production line. Recommendations developed in this project are considered to keep the production line as a balanced system with minimum waste possible. In addition, proposed solutions or adjustments to the system were flexible enough to achieve pull system, creating a flexible production rate to meet the market demand.
