Claire Black

Profile:

Claire Black studied at the Concordia University of Edmonton (previously Concordia University College of Alberta) as an undergraduate, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in French and Sociology. After spending a number of years in the medical industry, Claire joined Dr. Al-Hussein’s research group in March, 2015.

Current Role:

Claire provides writing support to the graduate and post doctorate students in the IRC research group, and also assists in research dissemination and grant application. Her key duties include editing journal manuscripts and dissertations for publication, editing and providing constructive feedback on thesis manuscripts, contributing to grant applications, presentations, and formal reports on the research activities of the IRC, and assisting with the organization of meetings, workshops, and events which raise the profile of the IRC’s research activities in the community and industry.
