  • What is the access code for PlacePro?

    The access code for students and alumni is uofaeng.

  • How can I retrieve forgotten login information?

    Users can retrieve their login information by clicking on the Forgot Password? link provided on the PlacePro Student Login Page. You will need to enter your email address along with the access code uofaeng.

    If you are unable to retrieve your login information using this link, email us at for further assistance.

  • Why do I get an "Invalid access code" error when I try to login?
    Two common errors result in this error:
    1. You are not logging in at the Canadian site. Our access code will not work at the American PlacePro website. Please ensure that you are logging in at
    2. You are not using the correct access code. Students not enrolled in co-op will be unable to login using the co-op access code. Please ensure that you are using the access code uofaeng.

  • When I try to login I receive an "Error Code: 8" message. What do I do?
    Please contact us at for assistance. Be sure to include your ONECard number, full name, and program in your email.
  • Why can't I see any new jobs in PlacePro?

    To view current employment opportunities in PlacePro, you must set up and maintain current job search preferences.These are set on the Job Search page in PlacePro. Click Add Job Preference to open a pop-up window, and select the following from the drop down menus:

    Employment Type: Employment

    Academic Unit: All

    Year: Year in which employment will start.

    If you're seeking immediate employment, select 2018

    If you're searching for summer or new grad employment after the 2018/2019 academic year, select 2019

    Section: Not Applicable

    Part/Full Time: Both

  • I followed the first-time user instructions in the User's Guide but I still can't access PlacePro. How can I access the system?

    The login instructions in the User's Guide are for first-time users only. If these instructions are not working for you, it's possible you've previously completed the first-time user login procedure and have forgotten your login information!

    If you think this might be the case for you, try to retrieve your login information using the Forgot Password? link available on the student login page. You will be asked for your email address and the access code uofaeng. After submitting this information, PlacePro will email your login information to you.

  • How do I upload transcripts to PlacePro?

    Unofficial transcripts are suitable for employment application purposes, and can be downloaded from your Bear Tracks account. This file can be uploaded to your PlacePro profile for inclusion in application portfolios as required by potential employers.

  • I applied to a posting through PlacePro, but the icons in PlacePro have not been updated to indicate that my application has been sent to the company. When will my documents be sent to the employer?

    For traditional engineering students and all alumni, the icons in PlacePro do not reflect the status of a posting or your application for employment with a company.

    Follow-up on your application will depend on how you submitted your application:

    If you submitted an application by clicking "Apply" in your PlacePro account, contact the EEC after the deadline for the posting has passed.

    If you submitted an application directly to a company, either by email or online through the company website / applicant tracking system, contact the Human Resources department of the company.
