    Does the thought of attending a career fair stress you out?

    We can help! By the end of this workshop, you will:

    • Understand the differences between job fairs and career fairs,
    • Learn about career fair etiquette and employers' expectations, and
    • Know what to do before, during, and after the event to boost your confidence and set yourself up for success.

    First impressions count, so what is your online profile - or lack of one - saying about you?

    With over 90% of recruiters using LinkedIn to identify and/or screen candidates, it’s a tool you can use to optimize your job search. In this workshop, learn what goes into creating a professional LinkedIn profile that attracts the attention of recruiters and ways to use it to increase your professional network and build your career brand. You'll also learn how to use LinkedIn’s "See Alumni" and "Advanced Search" functions to explore career options and prepare for interviews.

  • Writing Effective Resumes

    Have you applied to countless job postings but are struggling to land interviews?

     

    Your resume is an important marketing tool to help you communicate why you would be a good fit for a role to potential employers. We understand that writing an effective resume can be a frustrating and tedious challenge, but applying the right techniques will make the process much easier. Learn the best practices of resume preparation including formatting, style, and content alignment, as well as the secrets of successful resumes in this workshop.

     

    Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of their current resume and note changes they should make to align with best practices.
