Program Selection Form

To be placed into a program, you must complete and submit the Program Selection Form linked at the button below. On this form you will rank all available program choices in order of preference. Visit the Program Placement Process page for details on how program placements are determined.

The Program Selection Form will open on February 1, 2024 and close on April 30, 2024 at 4:00 PM MT. The form will reopen on June 1, 2024 at 8:00 AM MT for one final opportunity to make changes to your ranking, and will close on June 15, 2024 at 4:00 PM MT. After the closing date you will not be able to login to view your program rankings: a copy of your form responses will be emailed to you for your records.

Students who successfully complete their qualifying year but do not complete the program selection form will not be placed. Those who have missed the June 15 deadline must contact enggadvising@ualberta.ca to indicate their preferences. Placements will be dependent on space availability with priority given to those who met the program selection form deadline.

Who needs to fill out this form?

This form must be completed by all students with previous post-secondary credit. This includes, but is not limited to, students who are:

• currently enrolled in their qualifying year of studies in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta.
• currently enrolled in other Faculties at the University of Alberta.
• attending or have attended other Universities or Colleges in Alberta or elsewhere.
• attending or have attended technical institutions such as NAIT, SAIT, BCIT, and Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Please note:

High school students do NOT complete this form. This is not an application form for admission to the University of Alberta. Students seeking a transfer from other post-secondary institutions must submit an application to the University of Alberta in addition to this form. You will need your University of Alberta ID number and Campus Computing ID (CCID) to access the Program Selection Form.
