In May of 2014, the European Union Centre of Excellence at the University of Alberta warmly welcomed a seasoned political leader of Slovakia. In a public lecture, Iveta Radičová, former Prime Minister of Slovakia, assessed the economic recovery and the political fallout from the global financial crisis in the European Union.
