Closure of Executive Education
Due to uncertain and unprecedented circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to close our Executive Education unit and its programming as of May 1, 2020.
We did not come to this decision lightly. I can let you know that it was made based on a combination of factors — the uncertainty of the Alberta economy, the University's challenging budget situation, and a sharp decrease in enrolment by clients who are similarly affected by our market conditions, making it infeasible to continue operations at this time.
For the students, organizations and instructors who are directly impacted by this closure, we apologize. Alberta School of Business staff will be in contact with you in the coming weeks regarding refunds, options and next steps.
I would like to thank Associate Dean, Marvin Washington and his outstanding team of staff for their vision, leadership and dedication to professional development education. Their commitment to excellence ensured that our Executive Education programs were consistently ranked among the best in the world.
I would also like to thank the many students, instructors and supporters who have been at the heart of Executive Education and its programs. We’re proud of the community that supported Executive Education and are inspired by the incredible stories of transformation that have come from your learning and leadership.
The Alberta School of Business will continue to offer select professional development and executive programs through its Master’s Programs Office and remains committed to providing globally-competitive, lifelong learning experiences that serve our community as well as our economy.
