About Me

I have a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. My speciality is in program evaluation and research, especially in the domain of educational technology. I am currently at the University of Alberta, with the Community University Partnership for the Study of Children, Youth, and Families. My major responsibility include research in the area of evaluation (especially around capacity building) and chairing a university Research Ethics Board.

My research activities are around using evaluation to help educators continuously improve their use of innovative instructional methods through using participatory methods, to facilitate instructional innovation’s effective and sustainable use.

More generally, the domain of most of our evaluations is around teaching and learning, with an emphasis around innovation and technology. This approach allows flexibility as we learn more about the field and see what users of innovation
