This course is for health professionals treating borderline personality, self-harm, substance abuse, eating disorders or interpersonal trauma. It is particularly relevant in work with adolescents and your adults who have not improved with other treatments. Mentalizing is a flexible approach: it can be combined with other interventions and is rooted in psychological development, neuro-biology, social cognition and attachment theory. As a method mentalizing is introducing a fresh, empirically - supported view of interpersonal functioning and self regulation. Theory and techniques will be presented.
