Suspicious Behaviour or Crime in Progress

Those with criminal intent often signal their intentions before committing a crime. By paying attention and reporting suspicious behaviour, you can help to reduce crime across the university.

By quickly reporting a crime in progress, you provide Protective Services and police the opportunity to apprehend criminals and remove them from campus.

Identifying suspicious behaviour

Suspicious behaviour may include:

  • Attempting to open multiple doors or to enter restricted areas without authorization
  • Loitering around locked doors or near bike racks

If you witness a crime in progress

  • Call 911 and then Protective Services (780-492-5050).
