The admissions committee meets in late January to review all complete and eligible applications. Its recommendations for admission are forwarded to the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) for final approval. It is the FGSR that admits students for graduate studies at the University of Alberta. Applicants who have been recommended to FGSR for admission will be notified by email in the first week of February.

If you are offered admission and receive an Official Admission Letter from the Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research, you must request official transcripts and degree certificates (if applicable) be sent from the relevant institution directly to the Faculty of Graduate Studies & Research
