Karen Edwards, M.Ed.
Karen has 17 years of experience in research program management, network development, strategic planning, evaluation, and knowledge mobilization. She has worked closely with provincially-based organizations on indoor air quality issues in schools, coordinated a national capacity building program for Aboriginal health research, and facilitated Canadian engagement in an international polar science program. She has had the privilege to build and facilitate responsive research partnerships with communities from Atlantic Canada, British Columbia, Alberta, northern Canada, and internationally. In her current position with CUP, she fosters ongoing network and partnership development; facilitates the development, and implementation of strategic plans for knowledge mobilization, research and evaluation; brokers research requests from network partners; as well as identifies and pursues funding resources to support CUP’s organizational capacity.
