The Department of Family Medicine seeks individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills---team players with a strong desire to become family physicians.

The Family Medicine Application Process
The application process begins annually in the fall; please refer to the CaRMS Match Process page for details.
Applications are screened and selected applicants are invited for an interview.
Our rural track interviews are conducted at the same location and during the same time period in order to simplify your interview schedule.
The interview day will commence with an information session by the Program Director followed by an informal interaction with residents available to answer any questions and provide their perspective on the program.
A continental breakfast and hot lunch will be served and social events are held for two or three nights during the interview period. Information on our learning sites will be made available in the hospitality room or you can access the same information on our website under Education, Learning Sites.
It is expected that your interview will last approximately 30 minutes
International Medical Graduates (IMGs) will need to be screened by the Alberta International Medical Graduate (AIMG) Program before they can apply to CaRMS.
