CFPC Medical Student Scholarships

The CFPC Medical Student Scholarships recognize outstanding medical students who have demonstrated an interest in or commitment to a career in family medicine. Each Canadian medical school is invited to nominate a medical student in their second-last undergraduate year of study at the time of nomination

CFPF Indigenous Medical Student Scholarship

The CFPC Indigenous Medical Student Scholarship recognizes a top First Nations, Metis, or Inuit medical student in Canada who has shown an interest in or commitment to a career in family medicine.

Research Awards

NAPCRG Student Family Medicine/Primary Care Research Award

These awards recognize outstanding family medicine/primary care research performed by a medical student while attending medical school.

One student from each Canadian medical school may be selected, though joint research done by two medical students may be eligible for a joint award.Application forms can be found here.

Patricia Ann Peat Residency & Student Family Medicine Enhancement Fund

This award was established to assist the department in providing exciting and personally enriching experiences in the discipline of Family Medicine and Primary Care Family Medicine research. This fund is accessible to all medical students enrolled in the MD program of the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, and all residents registered in the first two years of the Family Medicine Residency Program of the University of Alberta Department of Family Medicine.

Award recipients will receive funding to participate in provincial, national, or international family medicine/primary care meetings; to present research findings from family medicine/primary care research at provincial or national conferences; to attend provincial or national leadership meetings and conferences.
