Obstructed emergency shower or eyewash stations

We frequently see obstructed emergency showers or eye wash stations in labs and shops on our campuses. In an emergency, every second before they reach an emergency shower or eye wash station can make a person's injuries more severe.

Items should NEVER be stored under, in front, or on top of these life-saving devices. Remember, safety is everyone's responsibility. If you see it, fix it and then educate your co-workers about the hazard. If you can't address the issue alone, ask your supervisor to take action or ask Environment, Health & Safety for advice.
