UAlberta Response to Fort McMurray Crisis

Last updated June 30, 2016, at 1 p.m.

The wildfires in the Wood Buffalo region had a devastating impact for thousands of Albertans. The University of Alberta worked with the provincial government and the Canadian Red Cross to house more than 1,200 people at Lister Centre since May 3. Our shelter will be closing on July 3, 2016.

We wish everyone who stayed with us, and all Albertans affected by the wildfires, well as they return home. #albertastrong
