What is your clinical specialty?
I like to address the whole kinetic chain by applying a variety of techniques to address the superficial and deeper tissues that are causing improper movement patterns or pain. I have training in Trigger Point Therapy, Anatomy Trains Myofascial Systems, Nerve Mobilization, Manual Lymph Drainage, and Muscle Energy Techniques. As a massage therapist for 10 years now, I have treated patients of all ages and abilities. I look forward to working with the athletes and families at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic!
What did you study and where?
I have a Bachelor of Kinesiology from University of Calgary (2001), a Massage Therapy Diploma from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (2006), and I am currently a student in the MSc Physical Therapy program here at U of A.
Do you work specific days/hours?
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
What is your favourite way to stay active?
Rock climbing, mountain and road biking, Nordic skiing and generally exploring in the mountains as often as possible.
