What is your role at the GSSMC?
Physiotherapist
What is your main area of practice?
Musculoskeletal and sports injuries, with a special interest in lower body tendinopathy injuries, strength and conditioning, and working with strength sport athletes.
What did you study and where?
I obtained my master of science in physical therapy at the University of Alberta and graduated with honours with distinction from the University of Manitoba with an undergraduate degree in kinesiology.
I have taken continuing education courses through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and I have completed level 1 and 2 Functional Dry Needling courses through Kinetacore.
Do you work specific days/hours?
I work Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Fridays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
What is your favourite way to stay active?
I enjoy spending time in the gym, and have been involved with and competed in Olympic weightlifting since 2011.
