What is your role at the GSSMC?

Physical therapist and director, Rehabilitation Services



What is your main area of practice?

I have worked as a physical therapist at the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic since 1996 with a special interest in knee injuries.



What did you study and where?

I hold four degrees from the University of Alberta: one in education with four years teaching K-9; one in physical education, along with national certification in athletic therapy together with graduate courses in sport performance and exercises physiology; a physical therapy degree, along with national certifications in sports physical therapy; and a master's degree in rehabilitation science.


Do you have any specific research interests & publications?

In 2014, I completed a master of science degree in rehabilitation science with a thesis related to my interest in knee injuries.


Do you work specific days/hours?

Monday to Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 

What is your favourite way to stay active?

Being active with my family either in the gym, playing tennis, cycling, hiking or skiing.
