What is your role at the GSSMC?
Physiotherapist

What is your main area of practice?

I have a special interests in knee injuries and concussion/vestibular rehabilitation. I am also in the process of getting my Sports Physiotherapist Certification.

What did you study and where?
I received my MScPT degree from University of Alberta in 2018. Since then I have worked in MSK private practice and started at the GSSMC in June of 2019.

I am very keen to grow as a physiotherapist and I have taken multiple professional development courses that are listed below:

  • A spin in vestibular rehabilitation
  • New trends in running injuries
  • Reconciling biomechanics with pain science
  • A biomechanics approach to treating lower limb rehabilitation and athletic development
  • Kinesio taping


Do you work specific days/hours?
Monday/Wednesday mornings and Tuesday/Thursday afternoons

What is your favourite way to stay active?
Outside of the physio world, I have played sports all my life. I was a varsity wrestler for the U of C dinos during my undergrad. However, my main sport is cricket where I have represented Canada through the age group levels and continue to play at a semi-professional level in Edmonton.
