The Acute Knee Injury Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic involving a team consisting of a sports medicine and exercise physician, an orthopedic surgeon and a physiotherapist. Together they assess acute (severe) knee injuries that have occurred within four weeks.
The purpose of the clinic is to help triage patients by utilizing early diagnosis and treatment. Early rehabilitation is also provided to minimize deterioration of the knee structures after injury.
Currently the Acute Knee Injury Clinic is only accepting referrals from emergency departments. Your emergency doctor will refer you if deemed appropriate.
