Primary care physicians practising at the Glen Sather Clinic hold the diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine. Sport medicine is the practice of medicine that applies to all aspects of physical activity.
Our sport medicine physicians currently provide medical care to the University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas athletes.
A number of our physicians are also directly involved in the medical care of Edmonton professional sports teams. All have travelled to a variety of major international games, including the Olympic Games, the Pan American Games, and the Universiade Games.
The Glen Sather Clinic recognizes the practice of sport medicine as a speciality; therefore, patients must be referred by a family physician for a consultation.
