SELECTION CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP POSITIONS (e.g.  GFC Members, Staff from at-Large)

University Governance is working to ensure that our environment is characterized by a fundamental shared commitment to respectful engagement and to be welcoming of and support a diversity of perspectives. The GFC Nominating Committee strives to achieve the broadest possible base of representation and diversity.

While some GFC Standing Committees seek staff members from the university at large on their membership, other standing committee compositions may specify that a "GFC Staff member" is needed to serve as a GFC staff representative to their committee. In this instance, to meet the "GFC" committee selection criteria, a staff applicant must become an elected member of General Faculties Council (GFC) in the 2021/2022 academic year. Interested in "General Faculties Council" membership? Faculty and staff are encouraged to reach out to their own Faculty (Dean's Office) for more information. For a list of Current Members on General Faculties Council, please view here
