GSA Child Care Grant
To help offset the cost of child care for graduate students at the University of Alberta.
Parent Link (Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research)
An initiative of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Parent Link meets monthly and aims to help graduate student parents build the skills, knowledge, and mindset that will support their scholarly journey, transition into the workplace, and foster their health and well-being.

The Government of Alberta has a network of 57 Parent Link Centres that provide parents and caregivers with free resources and support.

The U of A is affiliated with six child care centres (note: these centres are not explicitly vetted or endorsed by the GSA and the GSA itself is not affiliated with them).
Child Care Look Up
Parents can find information about licensed child care programs and contracted family day home agencies with Alberta’s Child Care Look-Up Tool. This tool provides information about the location, ages of children served, number of children that can be served in the program, the program’s accreditation status and recent inspection results.
