Campbell Advisory Services
Carolyn Campbell is Principal of Campbell Advisory Services, an executive learning and governance company, and a figurative painter. She is a former Deputy City Manager, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, and Associate Dean of Executive Education at the University of Alberta. She is currently a member of Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity's Board of Governors, and the University of Alberta Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research's Professional Development Advisory Board. She has served on over twenty-five boards and committees over the past two decades, including Travel Alberta (ex-officio), the Premier's Council on Culture, the Mayor's Think Thank for the Future of Arts and Culture, the Mayor's Business Roundtable, the UNICON Research Committee, The Edmonton Symphony Society and Winspear Centre, the Edmonton Journal Community Advisory Board, and the Brian Webb Dance Company. Carolyn is also a frequently reviewed and professionally represented mid-career painter with Peter Robertson Gallery and has a local and national exhibition record. She is a regular panelist and guest speaker including engagements for the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, the University of Oxford, The Ditchley Foundation in the United Kingdom, the University of British Columbia Okanagan, and Banff Centre. Carolyn has taught strategic arts management and governance in the MBA program, and painting, drawing and visual design as a sessional instructor in Fine Arts at the University of Alberta.
