Dr Adil J Nazarali Memorial Research Travel Award in Neuroscience

Eligibility

  • Academic Requirements: Satisfactory academic standing
  • Area of Study: Neuroscience and or mental health.
  • Area of Study: Research focuses on one of the following neuroscience or mental health areas: multiple sclerosis, psychiatric disorders (and the diagnoses and/or treatment), environmental and genetic control of brain development, and or neuroimmunology
  • Preference Criterion: Preference given to students with 1-3 years of training in a neuroscience or mental health research lab
  • Selection Criterion: Based on academic achievement
  • Selection Criterion: Based on two letters of support from referees familiar with the applicant's academic and/or research achievements
  • Purpose of Funds: The award will be used toward travel costs associated with attending the meeting to present their research findings
  • Other Information: The student must be presenting their research findings (oral or poster presentation) at a national or International meeting.
  • Additional Information: Travel must be undertaken within 12 months of receiving notification of this award
  • Other Information: Students in the Department of Psychiatry or the Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute (and supervised or co-supervised by a full or adjunct academic member of the Department of Psychiatry) may hold the award.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
