Eligibility

  • Department of Psychology
  • Nominee must be entering or continuing in a doctoral program
  • Nominee must be conducting research on the social, cognitive, or biological factors that affect or interfere with normal child development
  • Nominee must be an outstanding student
  • Nominees who hold a full-time assistant ship or major scholarship (valued at $13,000 or more), are not eligible to hold this award
  • Applicants may apply in open competition for subsequent awards and may hold the award for up to four years
  • This award is payable in September
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
