Eligibility

  • Superior Academic Achievement
  • Department of History or School of Library and Information Studies
  • In even-numbered years awarded for study in Western or Northern Canadian History; in odd-numbered years awarded for study in Archival Administration or Records Management
  • On the basis of superior academic achievement
  • In even-numbered years the scholarship will be awarded for the study in History and Classics. In odd-numbered years, the scholarship will be awarded for study in Library and Information Studies
  • In the event that a nominee cannot be found in the specified area, the scholarship will be awarded in the other area
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By Nomination Only: Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
