Louise Davies Memorial Graduate Scholarship

Nominations are due in the Spring/Summer term


  • Superior Academic Achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the U of A grading scale)
  • Department of Human Ecology at the University of Alberta
  • Research focus is in the area of Family Ecology and Practice or Aging
  • Nominee is registered in the first or second year of their program
  • Selected on the basis of superior academic achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the U of A grading scale)
  • Nominee must have demonstrated knowledge of systems theory and its application in research and practice related to family well being
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
