Norman & Tess Reid Family Graduate Scholarship in Engineering

Eligibility

  • Superior Academic Achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the U of A grading scale)
  • Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Nominee must be conducting research in Structural Engineering
  • First or second year of a master's degree program
  • Awarded on the basis of superior academic achievement (equivalent to a GPA of 3.5 or greater on the U of A grading scale)
  • Preference will be given to a graduate student conducting research with innovation in the area of Structural Engineering (beyond the current state of science), that may lead to translational application in industry
  • Students may apply in open competition to hold this award for one additional year should they remain eligible
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
