FGSR Community Volunteer Program

Liberal Arts Day

This half-day event--held on the UofA campus--provides Grade 8/9 students a hands-on approach to exploring careers and topics in the social sciences and humanities.

Students have the chance to attend a variety of sessions, covering UofA research in areas such as Anthropology, Drama, East Asian Studies, History and Classics, Humanities Computing, Modern Languages and Cultural Studies, Music, Philosophy, Religion, and Sociology.

Interdisciplinary fields that apply their knowledge to these traditional subjects can also be found.

Outreach starts accepting registrations for Liberal Arts Day from teachers in September each year; registration is on a first-come-first-served basis.

To register, contact Fred Mills at community.outreach@ualberta.ca
