About Graduate Teaching and Learning (GTL) Weeks

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research hosts a series of teaching sessions open to the entire UAlberta campus community twice a year, in May and August/September.  All sessions are free. Next sessions are Aug. 28 - Sept. 14, 2017.

What to expect for Graduate Teaching and Learning Weeks

Sessions include information on creating safe zones for student engagement and TA training to leading inspiring discussions and emergencies in the classroom.

Join us for small group discussions at our Lunch Hour Round Table Teaching Sessions led by graduate students. Please RSVP for each round table you plan to attend. Space is limited.   

 

Some sessions may be used towards the Ethics Credit and all but the information sessions may be used towards the Professional Development (PD) Requirement and Graduate Teaching and Learning Program credit. At the sessions eligible for Ethics and PD credit, you will be able to sign in online or have an FGSR representative sign your record of PD activities. All ethics and professional development sessions or activities must be approved by your department.
