We all know that our graduate students have the potential to innovate.
We also know that our students are often confused or uncertain about how to take the first step in creating a new product, process, policy, or practice.
The Innovator's Handbook - A Guide For Graduate Students was developed to help our graduate students understand the innovation across all programs and disciplines. It explores the University of Alberta's intellectual property framework, and it highlights key campus and community supports for innovation.
The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) developed this handbook in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and with the input from a number of partners including the Office of the Vice-President (Research), TEC Edmonton, and the Faculties of Engineering, Science, and the Alberta School of Business. This project is made possible by a Government of Alberta Grant called A Vision for Innovation in Alberta: Excellence and Transformative Talent.
It is our pleasure to share The Innovator's Handbook with you.
