The Green and Gold Soccer Academy – Spring Session 2019 (Outdoor)
The Green & Gold Soccer Academy is pleased to announce our Spring Session academy training that will provide high-performance practices for ambitious and dedicated teams (boys & girls). All practices will take place on the grass fields at Campus Saint Jean (8406 - 91 Street) for May through June 2019. The Academy's philosophy is quite simply to build on the powerful legacy of the university’s championship Golden Bears soccer team - by bringing the outstanding skills of the Golden Bears coaches and players to Edmonton’s premier youth soccer teams.
The academy aims to provide a coaching process that is based on solid youth development coaching principles delivered by our professional coaches utilizing superior soccer facilities. Strict adherence to the Canadian Soccer Association's Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model is applied.
All goalkeepers will be provided with specialized instruction in all aspects of this demanding position. Each training session may feature soccer specific fitness training in the development of agility, coordination, quick feet, core strength, endurance, speed and power.
The fitness or physical development is combined with technical and tactical training with a view to providing the youth player with the optimum opportunity for soccer skill enhancement.
The cost for this program will be $250 per player for a minimum of 12 players.
Please check the website www.greenandgoldsoccer.ca for schedules and any required revisions.
