Professor Sarah Carter was William Evans Visiting Fellow at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand from April 24-May 14, 2017.

While there, she gave a research seminar at Te Tumu: School of Māori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies, a presentation (with Professor Angela Wanhalla) to the Centre for Research on Colonial Culture, a public lecture at the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum, a research seminar to the Department of History and Art History, a "thesis to book" seminar for graduate students, and met with local history teachers at the Hocken Library. She also gave a talk at Lincoln University as guest of the Faculty of Environment, Society and Design.
