Asian studies includes the cultures from ancient to modern times of lands from India to China, Japan to Sri Lanka and all the surrounding countries and realms.  Our faculty members have expertise in the languages and histories of many of these regions, with particular strengths in the history of religions, history of science and medicine, yoga, alchemy and politics.
