GREEK 301 - Intermediate Greek I *3 (3-0-1)

The aim of this course is to consolidate and expand the knowledge of the Ancient Greek language acquired in Greek 101 and 102. In the first half of the term we will finish with Greek grammar, and in the second half we will focus on reading short selections from Greek literature (provided by instructor). Selecting Lec A1 will automatically enrol student in Lab D1. Prerequisite: GREEK 102 or consent of Department.

GREEK 302 - Intermediate Greek II 
 *3 (3-0-0)

The aim of this course is to consolidate and expand the knowledge of the ancient Greek language acquired in Greek 301. We will read a short oration by Lysias, On the Murder of Eratosthenes, in its entirety, followed by book six of Homer’s Odyssey. We will supplement our reading of unadapted Greek with regular grammatical reviews. Prerequisite: GREEK 301 or consent of Department.
