Include descriptive subject lines to expedite support from HRS

You rely on us to respond to your email requests and inquiries quickly and effectively. A structured subject line makes it easier for us to triage, file, sort, locate and archive emails.

When sending emails to,, or, we suggest you use the following subject line:

Employee ID, Last Name, Dept ID, form or action type

Example: 1234567, Smith, Dept ID 720125, Pay action form or Update study permit

If you are using one email to send the same request for multiple Employee IDs, indicate this by including “Multiple IDs” in the subject line.

Example: Multiple IDs, Dept ID 720125, Pay action forms or Tuition Remissions
