The CPP provides for the payment of a disability pension to eligible persons who as a result of sickness or accident become disabled. The maximum benefit payable changes from year to year. This benefit is taken into account in determining the amount of your benefit under the University's Long Term Disability Plan and if you are receiving CPP disability benefits, you will no longer be required to pay the annual premium contribution.
