As part of the university's commitment to the continued well-being and development of its employees, Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment coordinates and organizes regular financial planning and pre-retirement sessions for academic and support staff.

PSPP 101
Learn about your Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP).
This session is for those new to the plan or those looking to learn more about pension plan basics. Topics will include a plan introduction, contributions, pension formula, beneficiaries, pension partner and taking a look at your pension profile.

Preparing For Your Retirement
Learn about retirement and your Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP).
This session is for those 5 or less years from retirement. Topics will include retirement prep, pension partner and beneficiaries, and pension options as well as looking at your pension profile.

Workshop
Intended for those 50+ or 5 to 10 years from retirement
Provides details about the emotional aspects of moving to the retirement stage of life as well as financial planning knowledge needed to successfully create income in retirement
February 23, 24 and 25, 2022
*Normally a full day workshop, due to the COVID pandemic the workshop will be delivered online, in three 2.5 hour sessions.

Informational Seminar
Learn about your University Academic Pension Plan (UAPP)
The focus will be on plan provisions most relevant to members considering retirement including pension options, retirement dates, and the benefit formula with sample calculations
