The COVID-19 pandemic shifted many of our faculty and staff to working from home. You may be wondering whether you can claim home-office expenses on your 2020 income tax return. 

Under the Canadian Revenue Agency’s new administrative policy, you may claim expenses using one of two different methods if you worked from home full or part time for more than 50% of the time for a period of at least four consecutive weeks in 2020 due to COVID-19 between March 16, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
