Steve Conway, EFAP
Thursday, December 2

Being involved in emotionally demanding situations over a prolonged period of time can cause mental exhaustion and can be described as "the cost of caring for others". This session provides the skills and information necessary on best practices to support employees in managing the impact of compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma on their life and increasing their psychological well-being. Participants will identify normal stress reactions, and coping and self-care strategies that promote resilience required.

Lakshmi Sundaram, EFAP
Thursday, December 9

While holidays are meant to be a time of celebration and relaxation, they can generate feelings of stress, isolation and sadness. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic can further exacerbate these feelings. This workshop will examine common stressors that can emerge over the holiday season and equip participants with strategies to build resilience and explore the power of self-compassion.
