COVID vaccination requirements for staff returning from leave

Staff on leave with or without pay, such as general illness, medical illness, WCB, maternity/parental, professional or educational, compassionate care and emergency or political leave, may not be aware of the university's COVID vaccination requirements. If you supervise a staff member on leave and are expecting them back to work on campus during the fall term, we recommend you contact the staff member and update them on the requirements.

If staff are unvaccinated as of November 1 and are returning to work on campus, they may be placed on a leave without pay unless they qualify for a medical or non-medical accommodation as outlined under the Alberta Human Rights act.
